FUSION-12

Fusion-12 brings real value to the middle ground between heavy traditional fiber ropes and the lighter, stronger high-performance lines. Blending polyester and Dyneema fibers, Fusion-12 bridges the gap between performance and investment for lines made of 100 % traditional fibers (such as polyester or nylon) and those made with 100% Dyneema HMPE fiber. Size-for-size, Fusion-12 is stronger than similar traditional polyester lines, yet significantly lighter. It has elongation properties between class 1 and newer, high-performance products, and better resistance to abrasion compared to traditional polyester lines. Fusion-12 is a 12-strand single braid that performs well on winches. When replacing traditional polyester lines, it is possible to downsize the diameter of the line on existing equipment and pull the same load while storing much longer lengths. Samson recommends its non-jacketed lines in conjunction with specialized chafe protection in high-contact areas as a superior option to a completely jacketed line. Size-for-size, non-jacketed lines are stronger than jacketed lines. They are also easier to inspect and repair, extending the service life over jacketed, polyester ropes. Unlike jacketed lines, which can rupture in the areas that suffer the greatest abrasion and need to be replaced, only the chafe protection on a non-jacketed rope has to be replaced; saving time and money. A 12-strand line, such as Fusion-12, with Saturn Dynalene chafe protection, provides the ultimate in cut and abrasion resistance, and the rope maintains its strength for the long-term. Samson’s Fusion-12 is lime green with a black longitudinal line that aids in identifying twist.
