Introducing WarpSpeed 3 SD

Samson, the leading developer of high-performance synthetic rope solutions worldwide, is pleased to announce the addition of WarpSpeed 3 SD – bringing SamsonDry hydrophobic technology to our recreational marine portfolio.
After successfully developing a suite of SamsonDry lines for the Arborist industry, Samson engineers continued seeking other industries and applications that could benefit from this innovative technology. Combining the proven performance of high-performance sailing lines with SamsonDry was a natural fit. Building on the success of industry favorite WarpSpeed II, WarpSpeed 3 SD keeps its flexibility and good handling with the addition of the SamsonDry hydrophobic coating.
While a standard sailing line can absorb up to 45% of its weight in water, the SamsonDry coating reduces that figure to less than 5%, adhering to UIAA standards and providing a lighter, safer, and easier-to-handle rope. WarpSpeed 3 SD is spliceable, works well with hardware, and has an elastic elongation of only 1.1% at 10% of its breaking strength load.
Understanding that about half of sailors remove the cover to reduce weight, the hydrophobic SamsonDry coating is applied to both the core and the cover, which is certainly unique for the sailing market!
Available in 5/16”, 3/8”, 7/16”, ½,” and 9/16”, in beige with blue tracers and beige with red tracers.
